DWI Assessments and Treatment
Due to COVID-19 phone assessments for DWI have been approved if you don't have access to web based services.
Breathe is fully licensed by the state of NC and NC DWI Services and will assist you with your assessment and treatment in a professional, confidential and timely manner. One of our goals at Breathe is to create a safe and peaceful environment, in order to meet this goal we keep our class sizes small. We know this can be a stressful time for clients, and we are here to you through this process Breathe will often complete an assessment the day you call to request an appointment. The cost of all NC DWI Assessments is $100. The $100 fee is established by the Legislature of the State of NC. Please contact us about Out of State DWI's. We now have telehealth options for your DWI assessment due to COVID-19.
What to bring to your appointment
-DWI assessment fee of 100.00(Cash, Money Order, or Credit Card. We do not accept personal checks)
-Breathalyzer reading
-Copy of citation/ticket

An in-depth, confidential clinical interview with one of our counselors is conducted to determine the need for, and level of, education or treatment services. Included in the process is the administration of a national standardized questionnaire as an adjunct to the assessment process.
State Rules require that a Substance Abuse assessment is valid for only 6 months. Treatment or ADETS must be started prior to 6 months from the date of the assessment or a whole new assessment will be required at a full cost of $100.
ADETS Classes
Telehealth options now available. ADETS is a 16-hour program offered once monthly. This class is for clients that haven't had a prior DWI charge with a blood alcohol reading of .14 or less, and didn't refuse the Breathalyzer. Also, clients that do not have a substance use disorder. Our next class starts on February 4, 2021. Call us to sign up today at 704-782-3050. The state regulated fee for this class is $160.00, and $25.00 for Prime For Life Book.
Short-Term Outpatient Treatment 20-39 hours
Telehealth options now available. Hours are determined based on the results of your assessment. This is accordance with guidelines that have been issued by NCDWI Services. NCDWI services regulates DWI assessments and treatment. Breathe., LLC holds Short-Term Outpatient on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6-8pm. This level of care must be completed in 30 days but no more than 45 days.
Longer-Term Outpatient Treatment 40-89 hours
Hours are determined based on the results of your assessment. This is in accordance with guidelines that have been issued by NCDWI Services. NCDWI service regulates DWI assessments and treatment. Breathe., LLC holds Longer-Term Outpatient on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6-8 pm. This level of care must be completed in no less than 60 days but no more than 90 days.
